An average morning

The day started with Viktor banging on his enclosed walls, screaming about the VietCong. You get used to it. I roll out of bed, get on my slippers, and walk into the kitchen. Viktor is a schizophrenic who periodically experiences "flashbacks" to Vietnam, even though he is Bulgarian and never served in the military. I never should have let him watch Full Metal Jacket. Mitch is already sitting at the breakfast table, munching on some fried goblin. As usual,  he smells like straight gas. The dude smokes it like its going out of style. You see, Mitch is a chronically depressed warlock from Minas Tirith. He uses the weed to get through the day. Me, I'm from Canada. My dad was a huge fan of martial arts, and was concussed when I was born, thus the name. Mom was passed out from the effort of getting my huge head outta there. Bruce Chan, yeah, being named a combination of two of the most famous martial artists ever doesn't lead to ANY bullying in school. But I'm too lazy to go through the process of getting it changed. I'm getting off track, back to my morning. After saying hi to Mitch and getting a cup of coffee, I head over to Viktor's room. He's still trying to ward off the thousands of Viet Cong surrounding his position. I grab the chloroform, wet a rag, and head on in to his room. Opening the door itself is a struggle, seeing as it is one hundred percent steel. Did I forget to mention that Viktor is 6' 7", 250 pounds, without an ounce of body fat? The man is an absolute monster. During his flashbacks, chloroform is the only way you're going subdue his big ass self. I get the door open, dodge his first punch, and jump on his shoulders, covering his mouth with the chloroform covered rag. Mitch moves his body into the living room with his boujee wand, and puts him on the couch to sleep. An average beginning to an average day.

  1. “During his flashbacks, chloroform is the only way you're going subdue his big ass self. I get the door open, dodge his first punch, and jump on his shoulders, covering his mouth with the chloroform covered rag.” This was pretty well phrased, easy to follow, and easy to picture. I feel as if Bruce Chan is in his late years of high school and is short and skinny with dark brown hair. The physical description of Bruce Chan is not stated. Viktor’s physicality is the most clearly described of the three characters. I want to know more about Bruce Chan’s character when he is not around Viktor or MItch. It would also be nice to know how all of these different characters have come together in this one space.

  3. 1. "Get on my slippers" is good characterization. "...doesn't lead to ANY bullying in school" sets the sarcastic tone about Mitch and Viktor.
    2. a very very chill, smallish person who is very capable. Calmly takes control of the situation and puts things in order.
    3. What is a Boujee Wand? Why are all of these people living together?
    4. why does mitch think he's a warlock?

  4. 1) “Bruce Chan, yeah, being named a combination of two of the most famous martial artists ever doesn't lead to ANY bullying in school.” This is an interesting thread and hopefully one that can be expanded on later. It implies shame.
    2) You’re selfless to the point where it starts to burn you. You don’t have to set yourself on fire to warm others, but you do anyways. You’re well built and able but don’t use it for evil.
    3) Why do you feel the need to care for Viktor and Mitch? They’re only roommates/ neighbors but to you they are more than that. What in you makes you need to help them?
    4) Why is Lord of the Rings involved in this?

  5. 1) Objects: Lava Lamp, Ouija Board, Box of Fruit Loops
    2) Sayings: "If I had a nickel for every dollar I've earned, I'd have $1 thousand, and zero nickels." "The more you know, the less you don't know."
    3) Animal: Zebra, Chipmunk, Baboon
    4) People: petite woman with eye patch, sad fireman, park ranger.
